Kanela Valencia: Salsa, Merengue and Bachata near Nuevo Centro
· Updated:
Kanela is a Latin club at Calle del Doctor Montoro 6, next to the Nuevo Centro shopping centre in Valencia, Spain, with two dance floors of salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton and dembow; its website gives Friday and Saturday from midnight to 7:30am and a €10 door price (October 2026).

A new name on the Latin scene
Kanela introduces itself on Instagram as “your new club in Valencia city”, and its bio lists “salsa, merengue, bachata, tropical and much more”. Its website tagline is “Vive el auténtico ritmo latino” and it pitches the place for nights out alone, with friends or for celebrations. It is a smaller operation than the big commercial clubs: about 3,400 followers on its main Instagram account in October 2026, with its latest post on 6 October.
Music and the two dance floors
The website mentions two dance floors and a VIP area. Salsa, bachata and merengue sit next to reggaeton and dembow, which is what most Latin clubs in Valencia do now: couples dancing early, then a more urban sound as the night goes on. If you come for proper partner dancing, the earlier part of the night is usually the better bet; if you want perreo, stay late.

One thing to check: the sources do not agree on the days. The website (checked on 20 October 2026) says Friday and Saturday only, while a nightlife directory lists Thursday to Sunday, and the Instagram bio only gives hours (00:00–07:30). We go with the website, but if you are planning a Thursday or Sunday, ask first. Neither the website nor the bio mentions a minimum age or a dress code; bring ID in any case.
For context, Valencia's 2026 opening-hours order (Orden 3/2025, published in the DOGV on 22/12/2025) lets clubs stay open until 7:30am, so Kanela's 7:30 closing is the latest any club can legally run. Two dates get extra time: on 31 October (Halloween) clubs may close an hour later, and on New Year's Eve an hour and a half later. If you are celebrating one of those nights at Kanela, ask us what it has planned.
Getting there
Doctor Montoro is in Campanar, right by Nuevo Centro, a short way from the old river bed and the centre. It is one of the few Latin clubs on this side of the city; the Corts Valencianes complex where Tulum and Marbella Sala Show are is also in the north-west. If you want to compare it with K-Ché in the Grao, Bora Bora in Jesús or La 57 in Patraix, our Latin clubs guide has them all.
