Enjoy Barraca
Barraca is a techno club in Les Palmeres, on the coast of Sueca, outside the city of Valencia, Spain. It opened in the summer of 1965 and became one of the key clubs of the Ruta del Bakalao (the "Ruta Destroy") in the 80s and 90s; it is still running in 2026. It has four spaces, Circo, Barraca, Show Room and Terraza, and works by season: it came back on 19 September 2026 and programmes Saturdays from autumn to spring, with techno and house. In October 2026 tickets started at €12 without a drink.

How to Get to Barraca
Barraca is in Les Palmeres, a coastal hamlet of Sueca, outside Valencia: you need a car, a taxi or the party bus. The address is given differently by each guide (Les Palmeres street, Avinguda de Sant Roc, Plaça Número 6), so search "Barraca Les Palmeres" on your map. Barraca has its own party bus with an Instagram account; ask us on WhatsApp for the stops on your date.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
Barraca doesn't publish a dress code: it's a techno club, so comfortable clothes are fine. Discoruta lists it as 18+; bring ID.
From 1965 to the Ruta del Bakalao and today
Barraca is the oldest name in Valencian clubbing that is still going. Its Xceed profile says it first opened in the summer of 1965, and valenciabonita explains that the building went from a shop to a flamenco venue and then to a club. In the mid-80s, with the rise of electronic music in Spain, it became one of the main clubs of what people call the Ruta del Bakalao or Ruta Destroy, the weekend circuit of clubs along the Valencian coast. Unlike most of the clubs of that era, Barraca never became a memory: in October 2026 it is still programming techno with international DJs. It has four spaces, Circo, Barraca, Show Room and Terraza. An older Xceed blog put Circo at around 1,000 to 1,200 people and the Show Room at 300, a useful idea of its size. Every February it hosts an anniversary party for the Ruta itself.
Season 2026/27 and upcoming dates
Barraca works by season. On 10 September 2026 it announced on Instagram that "the season starts" and it reopened on 19 September. In summer it has moved its parties to other venues, according to an Xceed blog. Upcoming dates on Xceed on 20 October 2026: Saturday 24 October, Vértigo x Barraca with Lilly Palmer; Saturday 31 October, Halloween with Barraca and theBasement, starting at 17:00 with more than a dozen DJs; Saturday 14 November, Technology with Cristian Varela and Dj Pepo; Saturday 23 January 2027, Carlos Pérez and K-Style; and Saturday 13 February 2027, the Aniversario La Ruta, a 70s to 00s party with Arturo Roger, Kike Jaen and Los Gemelos. Most nights start at 23:59. Line-ups can change, so confirm the date with us on WhatsApp before you organise transport.
Tickets, groups and VIP areas
Barraca sells tickets in batches. For Saturday 24 October 2026 the first batch, €10 without a drink and €15 with one, had sold out, and the next was €12 without a drink and €17 with a drink. It also sells group tickets from €9 per person, which makes it one of the cheaper big nights in the region if you go as a crew. For a proper table there are VIP areas for five people with a bottle and private parking, handy when the club is out of town. Prices are orientative and come from the October 2026 listings; big dates like Halloween and the Ruta anniversary go up faster. Getting to Les Palmeres
Barraca is not in Valencia city. It's in Les Palmeres, a small coastal hamlet that belongs to Sueca, about 200 metres from the beach according to Discoruta, and very close to Discoteca Chocolate. Guides don't agree on the street address: Xceed gives Les Palmeres street, Discoruta gives Avinguda de Sant Roc and valenciasecreta a different one, so the easiest thing is to search "Barraca Les Palmeres" on your map. You'll need a car, a taxi or the party bus: Barraca has its own bus service, announced on Instagram, and on Halloween the party starts in the afternoon.
