Play Club Valencia: Indie and Reggaeton Over Two Floors in Ruzafa
· Updated:
Play Club is a two-floor club at Calle Cuba 8, in the Ruzafa district of Valencia, Spain, with indie, pop and hits in its main room and reggaeton in the other, called Hottest in Town: it opens on Friday and Saturday nights, runs tardeos from 17:00 and is 18+, according to its website and Xceed in October 2026. It's been in Ruzafa for more than ten years.
Play Club Valencia: venue page →Two rooms, two moods
Play's Instagram bio promises 'two floors of hits, indie, electronic and urban'. In the main room, the website says, 'indietronica, hits and mashups rule': think indie, pop and rock you can sing along to, mixed with electronic edits. The second room, Hottest in Town, is where the reggaeton lives. On Fridays it hosts 'Kiki', which the club describes as sweating reggaeton until dawn; on Saturdays it's current and old-school reggaeton. If your group is split between indie fans and perreo fans, this is one of the few clubs in Valencia that keeps both happy under one roof.

No VIP, just players
Play makes a point of not doing bottle service. Its Xceed page puts it bluntly: 'No VIP, just players'. The website goes further with slogans like 'no posing, no filters, no hang-ups' and 'excuses stay at the door'. That sets the tone: a young, local Ruzafa crowd that comes to dance, not to be seen. The dress code on Xceed is 'informal'.
Tardeos: Verbena, Cassette and Copea
The afternoon is as important as the night. Verbena, the tardeo of hits, starts at 17:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Cassette, by the Toxicosmos crew, is the Saturday indie session with 90s and 2000s songs (on 24 October 2026 it was on in the Play room). Copea is a Friday tardeo with what the club calls 'music with designation of origin'. Play also hosts 'Churros con chocolate', billed as its LGBTIQ+ party. Regular DJs include The Wisemen Project, Neoverbeneo, Ley DJ and Jotapop.
| When | What (October 2026) |

Hours, age and prices
Xceed lists Friday and Saturday nights from 23:00 to 06:00, and the website's night sessions start 'from 00h'. The door is 18+. As a guide, for Saturday 24 October 2026 an advance ticket with one drink (valid until 01:00) was €10 and €16 with two, with a discount list until 01:00. On Instagram, Play says that showing your event ticket at the door gets you a discount, and that skip-the-queue entry is available online.
