Gay Valencia: LGBTQ+ Clubs, Queer Nights and Bars

· Updated:

LGBTQ+ nightlife in Valencia, Spain, centres on Deseo 54, a dedicated club open on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves from 1:00 to 7:30, plus queer and drag nights at Picca Club and Teatro Hot (Cancaneo) and two electronic clubs that Xceed tags as LGBTQ+, Club Gordo and Latex. For bars, travel guides send you to Calle Quart in the old town, and recent guides add Ruzafa. Here's each place with its nights and what to expect, from the venues' own listings in October 2026.

Deseo 54: the reference club

Deseo 54 calls itself Valencia's gay club, and it's the only club on this list that is LGBTQ+ every night it opens. It's at Calle de Pepita 13 (some travel guides place it in Ruzafa, but it's in a different part of the city). Its bio lists Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves from 1:00 to 7:30. The website mentions a main floor and a pop floor, which directories describe as house and circuit on one side and pop and hits on the other. Its late-October 2026 agenda shows the style: 'Dance! Perras', a drag night, on Friday 23; 'Rose&Gold' on Saturday 24; and 'Biohazard' for Halloween on the 31st, plus a drag tardeo that afternoon from 18:00 to 23:00. Discoruta lists it as 18+.

Picca Club: silent disco, drag and Pride

Picca Club is the former Piccadilly, on Calle Tomasos, where the Eixample meets Ruzafa. Its bio reads 'A place to be free' and lists Fridays and Saturdays from 23:00 with three spaces: the Silent Battle (headphones with three channels), a Club Room with hits and a cocktail bar. Piccadilly's silent disco won an award from the hospitality federation back in 2016, and salir.com mentions its drag shows and Pride parties. It isn't an exclusively LGBTQ+ venue, but its motto and programme place it firmly in this scene.

Club Gordo and Latex: electronic and queer-friendly

If your night is more techno than pop, Xceed tags two clubs as LGBTQ+. Club Gordo runs on Fridays at PROYECTO/, Calle de la Sang 9, a few steps from Plaza del Ayuntamiento: techno, EBM and electro, a 'no phones on the dancefloor' policy and a 'come as you are' dress code. It celebrated its 12th anniversary on 23 October 2026, and entry was €12 with a drink, with a free list until 00:30. Latex Club, at Calle Carles Cervera 23 in Ruzafa, opens Fridays and Saturdays from 23:00 with house, tech house and disco; advance tickets started at €10 with a drink.

Cancaneo at Teatro Hot

Teatro Hot, at Calle Padre Porta 4 near Avenida de Francia, doesn't open every week: it hosts promoters' parties. One of them is Cancaneo, an LGBTQ+ pop party ('petardeo' in Spanish slang). Its 'Cancaneo XL' on Saturday 24 October 2026 started at €12 with a shot. According to Resident Advisor, Teatro Hot is in the space formerly used by La3.

Bars: Calle Quart and Ruzafa

Valencia doesn't have one gay district the way some cities do. Travel guides such as Frommer's and misterb&b point to Calle Quart, in the old town, for gay bars. Europe Nightlife's guide, updated in August 2026, points to Ruzafa, especially Calle Cádiz and Calle Cuba. The Muse, a gay pub with drag shows in Ciutat Vella, appears among the top results when you search for gay clubs in Valencia. For more bars in both areas, see our guide to pubs and cocktail bars.
