Student Nightlife in Valencia, Night by Night

· Updated:

Student nightlife in Valencia, Spain runs along Avenida Blasco Ibáñez: Rumbo 144 holds an Erasmus party on Wednesdays and a university night on Thursdays, La3 opens every night of the year, and Miniclub, at the same number 111, had free entry from Tuesday to Thursday in October 2026.

Valencia has two big public universities, the Universitat de València and the Universitat Politècnica (UPV), with their main campuses around Blasco Ibáñez and Tarongers. That's why the student scene sits on that avenue and the streets behind it, and why Thursday counts as the start of the weekend. This guide is for local students; if you're on exchange, our Erasmus guide goes night by night in English.

Blasco Ibáñez: Rumbo 144, La3 and Miniclub

Rumbo 144 is the student club par excellence, at Avenida Blasco Ibáñez 144, opposite the campus. It opens Wednesday to Saturday: Wednesday is the Erasmus Party and Thursday the Jueves Universitario, with commercial, reggaeton, pop and international hits. On Friday 23 October 2026, entry with one drink cost €12 online and €15 at the door, and the Friday dress code was listed as smart. On Saturday afternoons it runs Tarde_On, an indie tardeo with live bands. Its university Halloween is on Thursday 29 October, at €12 with a drink.

A few blocks closer to the centre, at Blasco Ibáñez 111 near Plaza Honduras, are two clubs with very different sounds. La3 opens every night of the year from 23:59 to 07:00, with international hits, urban, trap and reggaeton, tech house on Sundays and a concert room; on its Friday listing early-bird entry was €10 and the guest list free until 00:30. Older guides still put it on Calle Padre Porta, but it moved to Blasco Ibáñez. Miniclub, at the same number, is the electronic option: tech house, house and techno from 00:00 to 07:30 every day, and in October 2026 it was free all night from Tuesday to Thursday. On Saturday 24 October it charged €20 with two drinks.

Plaza Honduras, Aragón and Plaza del Cedro: the pubs before

Before the club, students meet in the pubs around Plaza Honduras and Calle Aragón. Marbella The Latin Club, at Plaza Honduras 34, opens Wednesday to Sunday from 21:00 to 03:00; Boricua Night Club, on Calle Serrano Morales 5, from 22:00 to 03:30; and Maguana, on Calle Pintor Enric Ginesta 3, every day from 17:30. BB Club by Caribbean's, on Calle Bélgica 5, calls itself the trusted pub of students and Erasmus, open Wednesday to Saturday from 23:00 to 03:30, and Wednesday is its Erasmus night. In Algirós, Pub Ibiza on Plaza del Cedro 12 is a disco-pub with free entry and a terrace. These are pubs, so they close around 03:30, which is when you move on to Blasco Ibáñez.

Thursday: the university night

Thursday is the big student night. Besides Rumbo 144, Havana in Plaza Cánovas runs Los jueves de Havana x ESN, from 00:00 to 06:30, with pop, hits and reggaeton. Committee, on Calle San Vicente 200 next to the Joaquín Sorolla station, is +18 on Thursdays from 00:30 to 07:30, while on Fridays and Saturdays it's +21, so Thursday is when younger students can get in; its entry starts at €22 with a drink. Faculties also hold their own parties: on Tuesday 3 November 2026 there's an end-of-exams party for the ETSII engineering school at Committee (+18). And by the beach, Akuarela Playa has a Thursday Perreo Universitario with a free guest list until 01:00; bring ID.

Going out on a student budget

Three tricks work in Valencia. First, go early: most clubs have a free or discounted guest list until a set time (00:30 at La3, 01:00 at Akuarela), and the first tickets are always the cheapest. Second, use the weeknights: Miniclub is free from Tuesday to Thursday, and a Thursday usually costs less than a Saturday. Third, go as a group: a table split between five or more can work out cheaper per person than separate tickets with drinks. If you tell us the night and how many you are, we'll check what's available.

Benimaclet and the alternative option

Benimaclet, the student neighbourhood north of the campus, has plenty of bars but no clubs with a published 2026 programme. The closest alternative is Matisse Club on Calle Campoamor, a live music venue since 1996 with alternative Thursdays and concerts and club nights on Fridays and Saturdays. For live gigs, see our guide to concert venues.

The academic year and your nights

The 2026-27 year started with welcome days at the Universitat de València on 7 September and at the UPV on 10 September, where ESN València UPV, the exchange students' association, handed out its ESNcard. According to the UPV calendar, the first semester ends on 8 January 2027, the second starts on 1 February 2027 and there's a Fallas break from 17 to 19 March. January is exam season and the clubs notice it; February brings the new wave of exchange students. For the rest of the year's big dates, see our party calendar.
