A record shop that turns into a club

Resume describes itself on its website as “a record shop, cocktail bar and intimate dance floor in the heart of Ruzafa”, and its tagline is just as direct: “Come for a record. Stay for the night.” The record side has its own Instagram account, @resumerecordstore, which the club links from its bio. That mix is the point of the place: the people behind the counter are the same crowd that books the DJs, and the night grows out of the shop rather than the other way round.

What music you will hear

House, techno and electronic records, played by what the website calls “local selectors and visiting artists”. Directory listings add disco to the mix. Some recent dates give an idea of the tone: an all-night-long set by Pizzicatto on Saturday 17 October 2026 and a weekend with Sebastian Chong and Sojo on 23 and 24 October, both announced on the club's Instagram. The sound system is by Void Acoustics, according to its own site, which is unusual kit for a room of this size.

Opening hours, price and age

Two details worth knowing. First, Resume closes at 3am at weekends according to Resident Advisor, so it works as an early part of the night rather than the last stop: Valencia's big clubs can stay open until 7:30am. Second, the club nights move around: its October 2026 listing advertised Thursday and Friday sessions at €10 with a drink, while other weeks the action is on Saturday. What it feels like inside

Small. The website talks about an “intimate dance floor” and “a shared dance floor”, and that is the vibe: no VIP tables, no bottle service, a crowd that has come for the DJ. We have no published capacity figure, but if you are used to big commercial clubs, expect the opposite. Dress is whatever you would wear to a bar in Ruzafa.

Getting there and what is nearby

Resume is in Ruzafa, postcode 46005, the neighbourhood with the most electronic clubs in the city. Within walking distance you have Oven Club on Gran Via de les Germanies 31 (house until 7:30am), Latex Club on Carles Cervera 23 (house and disco on Fridays and Saturdays) and Play Club on Calle Cuba 8.
