MYA Valencia: Age Limit, Dress Code and What the City of Arts Club Is Like
· Updated:
To get into MYA you need to be 18 or over, carry your original ID or passport and dress smart-casual. MYA is the indoor club under L'Umbracle, at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, and unlike the terrace above it, it opens all year round.

Under L'Umbracle, facing the Science Museum pools
The address is Avenida del Professor López Piñero (number 7 for Grupo Salamandra, number 5 for other listings: it's the same building). Discoruta describes the main entrance as sitting right opposite one of the artificial pools around the Science Museum, which is the easiest way to find it at night. MYA is the covered club and L'Umbracle Terraza is the open-air garden on top. Grupo Salamandra runs both, along with Akuarela Playa, Committee and Convento, and the club's Instagram bio sums it up as two of the city's fanciest clubs in one building.
Inside, the group's own site calls MYA 'the club of Umbracle' and describes clean lines mixed with multicoloured graffiti, a terrace and VIP areas such as the Black Diamond Suite. The club's website title also presents it as a DJ Mag Top 100 club; that's the club's claim, and it tells you the kind of night it's aiming for.

Three rooms, according to Xceed
Xceed's venue listing gives MYA a capacity of more than 2,500 people and three rooms: the main room for EDM, the Lobby for Latin and commercial music, and Beats for hip-hop and reggaeton. That listing has no date, so take the split as a guide. Grupo Salamandra sums up the sound as reggaeton, house and techno, and Discoruta adds tech house and urban sounds depending on the session. In practice, the music changes with the night and the guest DJ, so walk through the rooms before you settle in one.
Age and dress code
The minimum age is 18. Discoruta stresses that you need an original document with a photo: photocopies don't work. The dress guideline is 'smart-casual', and the venue's FAQ is more specific: no flip-flops, vests, swimwear, fancy dress, flags or sportswear. A shirt or a smart top with trousers or a dress and proper shoes is the safe bet. Two practical things: there's no cloakroom or lockers, only a standard handbag is allowed (no backpacks), and there's no re-entry once you leave.
Which nights it opens
MYA opens far more often than most clubs in the city. The Grupo Salamandra agenda for the week of 21 to 25 October 2026 had sessions from Wednesday to Sunday, from 23:59 to 07:00. On Saturday 31 October there's an afternoon session, 'Fascinado', from 18:00 to 23:30 before the Halloween night, which was listed at €32 on 20 October. For New Year's Eve, Discoruta lists MYA from 01:00 to 07:00, 18+, from €42. Erasmus student agendas also include MYA and L'Umbracle on Fridays and Saturdays.
VIP booths: Suite, Beat and Cabina
On 20 October 2026 the venue's own ticket shop listed a fast-pass entry with a drink at €22 for Wednesday 21 October, and booths from €180 (Suite), €200 (Beat) and €300 (Cabina). Discoruta's FAQ gives a wider range: from €150 on Thursdays and €200 on Fridays and Saturdays, up to €1,000 for the central booth, based on five people and expandable to seven with a supplement, with priority entry until 01:00. Prices move with the night and the DJ, so treat them as a starting point and ask us for the night you want.
MYA and L'Umbracle: what's what
They share a building and an operator, but they're two venues with separate tickets. MYA is the indoor club and works all year. L'Umbracle Terraza is a 4,000 m² open-air garden that runs in season, on Fridays and Saturdays until at least 31 October 2026. Discoruta warns that a MYA ticket doesn't get you into L'Umbracle, while a student guide says the two are connected on Fridays. If going up and down between them matters to your group, check before you buy.

The Ciutat Arts i Ciències–JustÃcia stop on Metrovalencia line 10 is next to the complex, and EMT bus 35 also serves the area. There's a taxi rank at the entrance and paid parking nearby. If you leave at 07:00, check the first metro of the morning before you go out.
