Club Gordo at PROYECTO/ Valencia: Techno, EBM and No Phones on the Dancefloor

Club Gordo is a Friday techno party held at PROYECTO/, a club at Calle de la Sang 9 in the old town of Valencia, Spain, a few steps from Plaza del Ayuntamiento: it plays techno, EBM and electro, it's 18+, and its one rule is 'no phones on the dancefloor', according to its Instagram and Xceed. In October 2026 Gordo celebrates its twelfth anniversary.

Gordo and PROYECTO/: the party and the room

It helps to separate the two names. Club Gordo is the party, with twelve years behind it and its own Instagram. PROYECTO/ is the room where it happens every Friday: its bio reads 'Every Friday · /Club Gordo /Grasa & more · C/ de la Sangre 9'. On Xceed, PROYECTO/ introduces itself with a joke that sets the tone: 'Club Gordo in a room worthy of our wettest dreams and your driest desserts'. If you search for 'Gordo Valencia' you'll also find a DJ with the same name; this is the club night.

The music: techno, EBM and electro

Gordo sits on the darker, more physical side of electronic music: techno, EBM and electro. The October 2026 bookings show it. The twelfth anniversary on Friday 23 October had Bas Mooy and Finalversion3, and on Friday 30 October 'Gordo x Hated' brought Remco Beekwilder. If you like the Ruzafa house clubs, this is a step harder; if you like Spook's big Saturday nights, this is the small-room version in the city centre.

No phones, come as you are

'No phones on the dancefloor' is Gordo's motto on Instagram, and the dress code on Xceed is 'come as you are'. Put the two together and you get the idea: nobody is filming, nobody is judging your outfit, everyone is there to dance. Xceed also tags the night as LGBTQ+. The door is 18+, so bring ID.

Prices and the free list

As a guide, in October 2026 entry was €12 with one drink or €16 with two (until 01:00), and the guest list was free until 00:30. Arriving before 00:30 makes it free.

Calle de la Sang is in Ciutat Vella, just off Plaza del Ayuntamiento, so it's easy to reach on foot from anywhere in the city centre.

Gordo and Valencia's other techno nights

Much of Valencia's harder electronic music happens outside the centre: Spook is in Pinedo, around 15 minutes by taxi according to valencia-fiesta, and La Rítmica is in an industrial estate in Albal. Gordo is the exception. It's in the old town, you can walk there, and it's on Fridays, so it doesn't clash with Spook's Saturday nights. If you're after house rather than techno, the Ruzafa clubs, Oven and Latex, are the closer match.
