Going Out in Valencia in Your 30s, 40s and Beyond: 21+ Nights, Tardeos and Remember Parties

· Updated:

If you're over 30 in Valencia, Spain, the simplest filter is the door policy: Committee, Havana, Jagger and Oven run 21+ nights at the weekend. Over 40, the better plan is usually the afternoon: Akuarela's Saturday tardeo of 80s, 90s and 2000s hits, Blue Iguana's remember sessions, Sunday salsa at K-Ché or Committee, and Chocolate's anniversary parties. Details below, taken from the venues' own listings in October 2026.

21+ nights

A 21+ rule doesn't guarantee a 35-year-old crowd, but it does take the youngest students out of the room. Committee is 18+ on Thursdays and 21+ on Fridays and Saturdays, with a 'no shorts' rule. Havana, on Plaza Cánovas, labels its Friday night 'elegant vibes, 21+ crowd' and asks you to dress up. Jagger, a cocktail club on Gran Vía Marqués del Túria, is 21+ on Saturday nights and closes at 03:30, which suits people who want a proper night without a 7am finish. Oven, the house club on Germanies, is 18+ on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 21+ on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cánovas and Gran Vía are, in general, the area with the most dressed-up crowd in the city. Our guide to central Valencia's clubs puts them all on one map.

Remember tardeos: 80s, 90s and 2000s

Akuarela Playa, on the Malvarrosa seafront at Calle Eugènia Viñes 152, runs a Saturday tardeo called '80's, 90's y 2 mil' from 17:00 to 23:59. On 20 October 2026 it cost €16 with a drink and was free from 17:00 to 18:00. Blue Iguana, at Calle Almirante Cadarso 30, has been around for more than three decades by its own account and focuses on Spanish pop-rock and 80s and 90s remember in the afternoon. Room Club adds one-off dates, like the tardeo for the 37th anniversary of N.O.D on Saturday 31 October 2026, a nod to one of the clubs of the old Ruta del Bakalao. Jagger's Saturday tardeo is about more recent memories: '10 years of hits 2016–2026'.

Salsa for every age

Latin clubs are where ages mix most. K-Ché, in the Grao, calls itself the most traditional in the city and runs 'La Viejoteca' on Sundays from 19:00. Committee hosts Supersalseros on Sundays from 17:30 to 00:30, and La 57 in Patraix doubles as a dance school in the afternoons. The Latin clubs guide has the full list.

Chocolate: anniversaries and remember

Chocolate opened in the summer of 1980 in Les Palmeres (Sueca), closed, and has been back with occasional parties since September 2022, according to valenciabonita. It doesn't open every week: it celebrates anniversaries ('46 years of the cathedral making history', it posted in October 2026) and remember nights. If you danced on the Ruta in the 90s, this is your trip back; read our Ruta del Bakalao guide for the history.

Is there a club for over-50s?

It's a common search, but we haven't found a club in Valencia that sets a 50+ door rule or calls itself a venue for that age. What works best is the same as above: an afternoon remember tardeo, a Sunday of salsa or a 21+ night that closes early, like Jagger at 03:30.

For the exact age rules club by club, see our guide to the minimum age in Valencia's clubs.
