Tardeo in Valencia: Where to Go for Afternoon Drinks and Dancing

Tardeo in Valencia, Spain is mostly a Saturday plan: Akuarela Playa runs its 80s, 90s and 2000s afternoon from 17:00 to 23:59 by the beach, Havana Cánovas goes from 17:00 to 23:30, and Room, Jagger, Mucho and Play Club start between 17:00 and 18:00, according to their October 2026 listings.
Tardeo is the Spanish habit of going out in the afternoon: you start after lunch, have drinks with a DJ or a band, and by midnight you're either heading home or heading into the night. The 17:00 start isn't random. Valencia's 2026 opening-hours order (Orden 3/2025, published in the DOGV on 22 December 2025) lets clubs and dance halls open from 17:00, so that's when most club tardeos begin. Ordinary bars, by contrast, have to close at 01:30.

The remember tardeo at Akuarela Playa
The best-known tardeo in the city is at Akuarela Playa, the beachfront club on Calle Eugènia Viñes 152 in Malvarrosa. Every Saturday from 17:00 to 23:59 it plays 80s, 90s and 2000s music, and on its October 2026 listing entry was free from 17:00 to 18:00 and €16 with a drink after that. Groups can book the main area for the tardeo from €300. And if you want to keep going, there's no need to move: Akuarela stays open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights outside summer too.
Cánovas and Gran VÃa: Havana, Jagger and Mucho
The smartest tardeo crowd is around Plaza Cánovas and Gran VÃa Marqués del Túria. Havana, at Plaza Cánovas del Castillo 6, opens on Saturdays from 17:00 to 23:30 with pop, hits, reggaeton and house; its October 2026 listing had a free guest list until 18:30 and entry at €10 with one drink (€18 with two). The afternoon is +18 and casual, while the Friday night session is +21 with a dressier code, so don't mix them up. A few minutes away, Jagger Club, a cocktail bar with a dance floor and terrace at Gran VÃa 23, runs a Saturday tardeo from 17:00 billed as ten years of hits from 2016 to 2026. Mucho, on Calle Martà 4, does an Afterwork on Fridays from 18:00 and Mucho Antes on Saturdays from 17:00.
Reggaeton in the afternoon: Room and Tulum
If your tardeo needs reggaeton, Room Club, on Avenida San Vicente Mártir 305 (the old Cream, according to Discoruta), holds La Ruta on Saturdays from 17:00. Tulum, in the Corts Valencianes complex near the Palacio de Congresos, is the Sunday option: on 25 October 2026 it held a Caribbean Sunday party from 16:30 to midnight, and on Saturday 31 October it does a tardeo called The Perreo from 18:00 to 23:00. Tulum's Sunday dates aren't every week, so check before you go, or ask us.
Ruzafa: Play Club and free-entry bars
Ruzafa has the most relaxed tardeos. Play Club, on Calle Cuba 8, runs Verbena on Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00 and Cassette on Saturdays from 18:00, with indie from the 90s and 2000s. At night it has two floors: indie, pop and rock in the main room and reggaeton in Hottest in Town. For something smaller, Barber Club (Calle Cura Femenia 15) opens on Saturdays at 17:00 and Killing Time has tardeos with DJs, both advertising free entry on their Instagram. Those two are bars, not clubs, so they're more for a drink than for dancing.
Students, live bands and Sunday salsa
Near the campus, Rumbo 144 on Avenida Blasco Ibáñez 144 turns into Tarde_On on Saturdays, from 17:00 to 23:45, with indie, pop-rock and live bands. On Sundays the most regular plan is Committee's Supersalseros, a salsa afternoon from 17:30 to 00:30 at Calle San Vicente 200, near the JoaquÃn Sorolla station. Committee also has a Friday afternoon session, Teenage Channel, from 18:00 to 23:59; despite the name it's +18. Down at the Marina, Tardeo al Veles is back on Saturdays at the Veles e Vents building since 17 October 2026, with concerts and DJs.
Remember in the open air
Valencia also gets one-off open-air remember tardeos. In 2026 there was one at La Pérgola de la Marina on 10 October and two at Parque de Cabecera, on 30 May and 19 September. No new date had been announced as of 20 October 2026. For a regular remember fix, The Blue Iguana on Calle Almirante Cadarso 30, which describes itself as a Valencia classic for more than three decades, does Spanish pop-rock and 80s-90s tardeos. It's a pub, so it closes earlier than a club.
Halloween, New Year's Eve and the beach
Big dates get their own afternoons. On Saturday 31 October 2026, MYA has the Fascinado tardeo from 18:00 to 23:30, Indiana one from 17:00 to midnight, Tulum The Perreo from 18:00 to 23:00, and Room a tardeo for the 37th anniversary of N.O.D, the old Ruta del Bakalao club. For New Year's Eve, Tardevieja Playground runs from 18:00 to 23:00, +21, from €15. Marina Beach Club also programmes Tardeos al Mar; its club opens from 18:30 between June and December, according to its FAQ. From tardeo to night
Most tardeos end between 23:00 and midnight, just as the clubs open their night session. It's easy to stay put: Akuarela, Havana, Room, Jagger and Play Club all reopen at night in the same building. Mind two things. Some night sessions have a higher age limit than the afternoon (Havana on Fridays and Jagger on Saturdays are +21), and your tardeo ticket doesn't usually cover the night. What time does tardeo start in Valencia?
Most club tardeos start at 17:00 (Akuarela, Havana, Room, Jagger, Play Club's Verbena) or 18:00 (Mucho on Fridays, Play Club's Cassette). The 2026 hours rules let clubs open from 17:00, which is why that's the usual start.
Where is there tardeo on a Sunday?
