Spook Club Valencia: Getting to Pinedo, the Techno and a Story Since 1984

Spook Club is a techno club in Pinedo, on the southern edge of Valencia, Spain, about 15 minutes from the centre by taxi. It's the old Spook Factory, which opened in 1984 and was one of the clubs of the Ruta del Bakalao; today it opens on Saturdays with techno, hard techno and tech house.

From Spook Factory (1984) to Spook Club

The club's own history page says it opened in 1984 'on the ashes' of an earlier club called San Francisco, under the name Spook Factory. Valenciabonita places its golden age between 1988 and 1993, right in the years of the so-called Ruta del Bakalao. Puzzle opened nearby in 1988 and The Face was also in Pinedo; both have since closed. Spook didn't. The website dates its current reopening to April 2023, and Xceed describes the project as relaunched with a new team. The Instagram bio keeps the old line: 'Since 1984. Aquí no se baila, se vuela' (here you don't dance, you fly).

Saturday techno, hard techno and tech house

Spook's website lists 'every Saturday' as its regular night, and the Xceed events run from 23:00 to 07:30. Xceed tags the music as techno and tech house, with hard techno on many line-ups. The autumn 2026 programme gives an idea: BCCO invites with Future.666, Fenim0re and Bixbita plus a Deriva Festival showcase on 24 October, Halloween on 31 October with Cassie Raptor, DYEN and A.N.I., and Héctor Oaks all night long with Egyptian Lover on 7 November. New Year's Eve, '31+1', runs from 23:59 to 09:30. Its website also lists an '80s 90s' party for its 42nd anniversary, a nod to its Bakalao roots.

How to get to Pinedo (and back)

Spook is at Carretera del Riu 399, in Pinedo, between the beaches of Pinedo and l'Arbre del Gos. It's still within the city of Valencia, but outside the urban centre, so plan the trip. By taxi it's about 15 minutes from the centre, according to valencia-fiesta, and Discoruta puts it at about 10 minutes by car. By public transport, Discoruta suggests bus 81 from the Estació del Nord and then line 25, towards El Perelló, which stops a few metres from the club; check the timetable before you go, especially at night. On big dates there's a shuttle: for Halloween 2026 the club runs a bus from Marina Sur to Spook. For the way back at 07:30, sort out a taxi or a driver before the night starts.

Age, dress and the door

Spook is 18+. Discoruta gives the dress code as casual: this is a techno club, so comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in for seven hours work better than heels and a shirt. Xceed's 2025 blog put the capacity at around 2,000 people, a figure without a primary source. Valencia-fiesta describes a mixed crowd, from people who were there around 1990 to their children.

Prices and summer in the garden

Tickets go in tiers that sell out as the date gets closer. For Saturday 24 October 2026 the first tiers were gone by 20 October and the next one was €25 with a drink until midnight, with backstage at €30. New Year's Eve was listed from €30. In summer, Spook also uses its garden for daytime sessions under the name 'The Garden by Spook'.
