Zulú Klub is a concert venue and underground club for 400 people at Calle Benito Pérez Galdós 39 in Aldaia, a town west of Valencia, Spain, about ten minutes from the city: techno, hardcore, dub, metal and experimental music, with a Funktion-One sound system and a declared social commitment.
Who is behind it
Its Instagram bio reads “concert venue and nightclub · underground and avant-garde music with a social commitment”. Its Xceed profile adds that it was set up by “a mixed group of professionals” from an underground, self-managed cultural background, and that besides club nights it hosts art exhibitions, cabaret, circus and theatre. That is the key to understanding Zulú: it is closer to a cultural space than to a commercial club, and the crowd that goes knows it.
