Does Valencia Have Good Nightlife? What to Do at Night, Hour by Hour

Yes. Valencia, Spain has a big and varied nightlife: we count 37 clubs and beach clubs open or in season in 2026, clubs can legally stay open until 7:30am, there's a student and Erasmus crowd all year round, the beach clubs don't all close in September, and the night usually starts in the afternoon with a tardeo. What it doesn't have is one party strip, so it helps to know which area suits you.
This guide is the short version: what a typical night looks like hour by hour, which night to go out and how to get home. The opening hours come from the regional rules for 2026 and the venue details from each club's own pages, checked on 20 October 2026.

The tardeo is the part visitors don't expect. On Saturdays Akuarela Playa runs an 80s, 90s and 2000s session from 17:00 (free from 17:00 to 18:00), Havana has free guest list until 18:30, Rumbo 144 does Tarde_On with indie and live bands until 23:45, and Play Club and Mucho start at 17:00 or 18:00. Veles e Vents, in the Marina, brought back its Saturday tardeo on 17 October 2026. If you just want a drink with a view, Atenea Sky, the rooftop above Plaza del Ayuntamiento, is open every day until 01:30.
After dinner, the bars fill up in Ruzafa and around Cánovas. Bars have to close by 01:30 and pubs by 03:30 under the 2026 rules, which is why people move on to a club between midnight and 01:00. Clubs open from 23:59 or 00:30 and, by law, can stay open until 07:30: MYA closes at 07:00, Akuarela and Oven at 07:30, Havana at 06:30. Jagger is the exception: it's a cocktail club that shuts at 03:30.
Which night to go out
- Monday and Tuesday: quiet, but La3 Club says it opens every night of the year and Miniclub opens daily until 07:30, free from Tuesday to Thursday.
- Wednesday: Erasmus night. Rumbo 144 on Blasco Ibáñez runs its Erasmus Party, and Oven and Jagger open from Wednesday.
- Thursday: student night. Rumbo 144 does Jueves Universitario, Committee is 18+ and Akuarela, Havana, Convento and Indiana are open.
- Friday and Saturday: everything opens, from MYA and Committee to Spook and Barraca for techno. Some clubs go 21+.
- Sunday: salsa at Committee (Supersalseros, 17:30 to 00:30), tech house at La3 and a few Latin clubs open late.
By area
For big commercial clubs, head to Avenida San Vicente Mártir, where Indiana, Committee and Room Club share one avenue. For a dressier 21+ night, Cánovas and Gran Vía. By music
Reggaeton and commercial dominate the big clubs: Room Club has an old-school reggaeton Saturday, Tulum has Bellakeo and Indiana plays reggaeton and hits. For techno and house, Spook in Pinedo, Barraca in Les Palmeres, La Rítmica in Albal, and Oven and Latex in Ruzafa. For salsa and bachata, Kanela, K-Ché, La 57 and Bora Bora. And for indie, Play Club's main room and the Tarde_On tardeo at Rumbo 144.
By day, next to the sea
Valencia's beach clubs are part of the night too. Marina Beach Club, between the Marina and Las Arenas beach, has a pool from 11:00 (until 18:00 from July to October) and a club that, according to its own FAQ, runs from 18:30 to 03:30 from June to December. What to wear
Most clubs ask for casual or smart casual, but a few are strict. Committee doesn't let you in wearing shorts, Havana asks for 'dressed up' on its 21+ Friday night and MYA's dress code is smart casual. Marina Beach Club bans sportswear, swimwear outside the pool area, fancy dress and hen or stag party accessories. Tulum, Indiana, Play Club and La3 are casual. If in doubt, trousers and proper shoes get you in almost everywhere.
Getting home
Metrovalencia runs a night service on Fridays, Saturdays and the night before holidays until around 03:00, according to Valencia News (September 2026). The EMT city buses switched to a 24-hour network in June 2022, with buses roughly every 30 minutes on most lines at weekends, according to the City Council. Check the FGV and EMT apps on the night, because times change with works and events.

What time do clubs close in Valencia?
Clubs may open from 17:00 to 07:30, pubs until 03:30 and bars until 01:30, according to the 2026 opening-hours order (Orden 3/2025). Most clubs open their doors between 23:59 and 00:30.
Which night is best to go out in Valencia?
Friday and Saturday have everything open. Wednesday is the Erasmus night and Thursday the student night, both busy around Blasco Ibáñez. On Sundays there's salsa at Committee and a few late openings.
