Atenea Sky: open every day of the year
Atenea Sky sits on the eighth floor of the Ateneo Mercantil, right above Plaza del Ayuntamiento; you go in through Calle Moratín 12. It's a rooftop, restaurant and cocktail bar in one, and its bio says it opens every day from 12:00 to 1:30. Its October 2026 bookings ran Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 01:30 and Sunday from 11:00 to 00:30. Valencia's tourist board lists live music, and the venue also programmes DJ sets. It's the most central option, and the one to pick if you want a drink with music on a Tuesday in January.
The Veles e Vents rooftop: parties in the Marina
The Veles e Vents building, in the Marina de València, has a rooftop on the third floor that works on event dates. Its October 2026 agenda included a pre-Halloween student party on Thursday 22 (19:00–01:00, €12), and on Saturday 31 'Halloween Afrodisiak' from 16:30 to 04:30 with house, afro-house and tech house (from €12, tables from €150) plus an international Halloween party from 23:00. Events are 18+. Downstairs, the 'Tardeo al Veles' Saturday sessions with gigs and DJs started a new season on 17 October 2026.
Hotel rooftops: sunset cocktails
Valencia's hotels have a ring of rooftops, but they are cocktail bars with views rather than places to dance. 270 Grados, on the 10th floor of the Hotel Barceló, looks over the City of Arts and Sciences and is a chill-out spot; in 2026 it even sold a ticket to watch the Fallas fireworks from the roof. The Coin, at the Hotel Estimar, has live music. City Lover Sunset, on the ninth floor of the Only YOU Hotel, and Umániko, on the tenth floor of the ILUNION Aqua 4, also have music. The newest is Luna de Valencia, at the Myr Puerta Serranos hotel, which opened in May 2026. Other hotel terraces, such as SH Sky Bar, La Terracita at the SH Valencia Palace or the Lladró Lounge at Palacio Vallier, are pure cocktail bars.
Open-air terraces with a club night
If you want to dance outdoors, the rooftops won't do it; the open-air clubs will. L'Umbracle Terraza is a 4,000 m² garden under the Umbracle walkway in the City of Arts and Sciences, open Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 07:00 with a published agenda until at least 31 October 2026 (entry from €22 with a drink). Its closing date for the season hasn't been announced. Marina Beach Club, between the Marina and Las Arenas beach, runs its club from 18:30 to 3:30 from June to December, according to its FAQ, and in winter moves the nights to its Playa Palapa space.
Summer only: Sabbia's Terraza Sky
Sabbia, a hotel and restaurant on Paseo de Neptuno facing Las Arenas beach, runs 'HOLOS' sessions on its Terraza Sky in summer, 'from sunset to night'. The last one of 2026 was on 9 October, and on the 14th it said goodbye until next season. No reopening date has been announced.
How late can a rooftop stay open?
It depends on the licence. Under Valencia's 2026 timetable order (Order 3/2025), bars, cafés and restaurants can open until 01:30, pubs until 03:30 (04:00 if the city council extends it) and clubs until 07:30. Bars and restaurants on the coast or in the port can open between 10:00 and 04:00 if the council declares it. That's why Atenea Sky closes at 01:30 and the club terraces keep going until dawn. What time does the Barceló rooftop close?
We haven't found a published timetable for 270 Grados, the rooftop on the 10th floor of the Hotel Barceló, so check with the hotel. As a reference, a bar or restaurant in Valencia can open until 01:30 at the latest under the 2026 timetable order.
Do rooftops have a dress code?
The hotel rooftops we checked don't publish one. Where there is a club night, the venue's rules apply: Marina Beach Club, for example, bans sportswear and swimwear outside the pool.
Which rooftops are open in winter?
Atenea Sky opens every day all year. The Veles e Vents rooftop runs events through the autumn, and the 'Tardeo al Veles' downstairs returned on 17 October 2026. Sabbia's Terraza Sky closed for the season on 9 October 2026.
